I’ve been curious about what the Mirrorton construction site looks like, so when David Young offered to do some drone videography, that’s what I asked him to shoot.

It’s hard to get a good view from the ground, but a drone lets you see the expanse of the project.

 It’s located a few blocks north of Lake Mirror.

And it sits on 10 acres forming a triangle that stretches from U.S. 98 on the north and east almost to Massachusetts Avenue on the west.

The six-plus city blocks once held modest houses that were demolished in the mid 2000s. After the recession, the land sat vacant for a decade.

When construction is finished, the site will hold 305 units — an upscale mixture of townhouses and three- and four-story flats.

The developer, Framework Group of Tampa, says they are on track to begin pre-leasing late this year.
