Over the past 24 years, Stuff the Bus has collected more than $1.2 million in school supplies for Lakeland students.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, the supply drive, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland, reaches nearly 10,000 students across all 29 Lakeland elementary schools each year.

Throughout the summer, the club collects school supplies and monetary donations from individuals, businesses, and civic groups. At the end of the summer, club members pack and deliver the supplies to schools so they can make it into the hands of Lakeland students.

Community members can get involved in several ways:

  • Donate directly to the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland. Requested items include 3-ring binders, composition books, headphones, tissues, printer paper, and pencils cases.
  • Host a collection box at a local business.
  • Partner as a sponsor for the 25th anniversary campaign.
  • Volunteer at the distribution event on Wednesday, August 5.

Donate to Stuff the Bus in person, and enjoy live music this Friday, July 16, at Swan Brewing. Munn Park Saints takes the stage at 7 p.m. and is collecting school supply items for the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland.
