Commercial Award: Starbucks at 3179 Hwy 98 N.
The Starbucks on Highway 98 N. between Griffin Rd and I-4 was selected as September’s commercial property winner.
“They’ve got a really nice landscape with some experimental plants,” said Stacy Smith, Lakeland horticulturist.
Residential: 1425 Mockingbird Lane
Fiore Maureen Johnson’s newly re-landscaped yard at 1425 Mockingbird Lane was recognized as this month’s residential winner.
“It was grueling,” said Johnson, but she added, “I’m very happy with what I have done.”
Smith praised the number of butterfly attractors and flowers in her landscaping.
