Residential Award: 729 Penny Lane
Debra Funkhouse and John McCutheon’s home on Penny Lane was recognized for their beautiful yard by the Lakeland Beautification committee.
Stacy Smith, Lakeland horticulturist said “They have a nice little courtyard at the front door with all kinds of interesting plants and it’s a well maintained yard.”
Commercial Award: Colonial Square Properties LLC
The commerical property at 124 Florida Ave. South was also recognized.
“It’s beautiful all the way around the building,” Smith said. Mayor Sara Roberts McCarley noted the agapanthus plants in the landscaping.
