Final preparations were being made today at the east entrance of the RP Funding Center in advance of Fridayโ€™s ceremony to debut a new mural. The painted mural, โ€œEchoes of Resistance,โ€ by Miami artist Samara Ash, celebrates Florida wildlife and ecosystems. It was sponsored by the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation with participation of the Lakeland Community Redevelopment Authority. The formal debut of the mural at 3 p.m. Friday will include an opportunity to meet the artist, a panel discussion sponsored by the Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance and a screening of a short film, “The Wild Divide,”ย which follows three friends traveling Floridaโ€™s wildlife corridor.
