The Lakeland Downtown Development Authority (LDDA), will host the second “Market at the Ballpark” on Friday, Aug. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. The market will include baked goods, handmade items, local treats, and more from downtown farmers market vendors.
“This is a great venue to display a small sample of what the Downtown Farmers Curb Market is all about. We’ve been thrilled working with the Flying Tigers and look forward to more exciting things in the coming years,” said Eric Michaels, marketing & events director with the LDDA.
That same night, the Lakeland Flying Tigers kick off their final regular-season home series against the Clearwater Threshers at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the game, starting at $9, are required for entry to the market.
During Market at the Ballpark, the LDDA will be giving away $500 in Market Bucks that can be spent at the Downtown Farmers Curb Market when it returns the following weekend on Saturday, Sept. 5.

“The Downtown Farmers Curb Market is more than just a great place to buy locally made and produced items. It also helps the vendors grow and expand their reach,” according to Michaels, who said the first event of this kind was held in May 2026.
“Farmers Market at the Ballpark has already helped one of our vendors create a partnership with the Flying Tigers, and their product will soon be offered in the stadium,” he said.
