Gas Leak Causes Temporary Evacuation on East Main Street

Businesses along the 100 block of East Main Street downtown were asked to evacuate for a little over 30 minutes on Thursday morning, May 28, due to a reported gas leak at the restaurant Hakucho. By 9 a.m., the small leak was identified and stopped, allowing everyone to return to work. 

A safety officer told customers at the Black & Brew next door that they might detect a faint odor, but it’s not harmful and should dissipate quickly.
