Fidencio Castaneda Jr., lovingly known as “Mijo” by family and friends, passed away on June 23, 2022.

Mijo was born in Lakeland on April 7, 1995 to parents Fidencio Castaneda Sr. and Yevonda Garnett and has resided in Lakeland his whole life. Mijo was loud and full of life, he was the life of the party and always had to be on the move, he couldn’t sit still. He had a personality that was easy to love by everyone. He liked to hunt and fish, and especially enjoyed the fishing trips he would take with his father when he was younger.

Mijo was an organ donor, and his family is comforted to know that the donation of his organs will provide the gift of life and a second chance to families and individuals that are suffering.
Mijo is survived by his parents Fidencio Sr. and Yevonda; sister Isabella Tovar, Jessica Garnett, Derinda Murphy, and Emily Castaneda; and brother Bryan Burgoz.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m., with funeral service and burial to follow 11 a.m., at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel 3350 Mall Hill Dr.

Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
