Honoring Memorial Day in Lakeland

NAACP Lakeland Branch 5108 in partnership with the Polk County Veterans Council will host the sixth annual Memoral Day Program on Saturday, May 23, at Veterans Memorial Park.

Come together as a community to pay tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom — reflect, remember, and show gratitude.

When: 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 23
Where: Veterans Park at 141-199 Lake Beulah Drive

Lakeland Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in partnership with the Polk County Veterans Council will host a Memorial Day Tribute on Monday, May 25, at 10 a.m.

The event will pay tribute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Where: Lakeland Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens at 2125 Bartow Highway

Organizers invite attendees to bring a photo of their loved ones who have served or are serving the military.

Attendees are invited to a complementary lunch catered by 2nd Hand Smoke BBQ Team, following the tribute.
