Clock at Lake Mirror Marks 100 Years of Lakeland Rotary
The Rotary Club of Lakeland marked its 100th birthday today with the dedication of a decorative, 17-foot clock near Lake Mirror that the club has donated to the city of Lakeland. The clock with illuminated faces on four sides stands on a pedestal at the top of the hill that forms the Lake Mirror Amphitheater.

Downtown’s Got Candy Becoming a Food Truck; Cake Decorator Moving In
A candy-and-sweets shop is leaving its brick-and-mortar home downtown for life on the road as a food truck. The storefront at 115 S. Kentucky Ave. where Got Candy and More has operated since 2011 will become home to a cake-decorate business, according to a news release issued today.
