Questions and answers
Webster did not respond. Click on any of the questions to view Hall’s answers:
What are your top three priorities?

Harden Hall: 1. Protecting a women’s reproductive healthcare accessโincluding access to IVF and contraception
2. Work for solution to the unaffordability crisis that is impacting working and middle class Americans
3. Safeguarding Medicare and Social Security so that workers can retire with dignity
Webster: Did not answer
Why are you running for office?

Harden Hall: After losing my son, I saw the ways that bureaucratic red tape was impeding the federal government from addressing important issuesโand the focus from Congress on political games instead of fixing the system. We need more representation at the federal level of everyday, working and middle class Americans because Congress is too out of touch with the needs of the people and too focused on special interests.
Webster: Did not answer
What is your stance on access to abortion?

Harden Hall: That politicians should not be involved in healthcare decisions. At no point is a politician more qualified than a doctor or have more power than a person to make these kinds of decisions.
Webster: Did not answer
What reforms to the U.S. immigration system do you support?

Harden Hall: We need to increase border security measures including better technology and more staffing at the southern border. In addition, we have to increase resources and staffing, including more judges, to handle the immigration process and decisions regarding asylum seekers.
Webster: Did not answer
What do you think are the biggest obstacles to getting things done in Congress? Are you willing to work with the other party?

Harden Hall: Our current Congress is too affected by extreme political polarization. Instead of focusing on passing legislation that will solve many of the problems facing the country, they are too concerned with political party wins and losses. This only causes the country and the people to suffer. I am always willing to work with the other party to pass bipartisan legislation because I know that sticking with extremes, on either side of the aisle, is only detrimental to our needs.

Questions and answers
Kemp did not respond. Click on any of the questions to view Lee’s answers:
What are your top three priorities?

Lee: My top three priorities include inflation and the economy, national security, and law and order, including securing our borders.
Kemp: Did not respond
Why are you running for office?

Lee: Iโm running for re-election because I care about our country and our local Congressional District 15 community, and I want to continue to be a conservative voice for our district. I want to ensure that our families can afford gas and groceries; I want to fight to make sure parents and the decisions that they make for their children are respected; and I want to put a stop to the crisis at our southern border that is devastating communities across the nation.
Kemp: Did not respond
What is your stance on access to abortion?

Lee: I am pro-life with exceptions to protect the life of the mother or in cases of rape or incest.
Kemp: Did not respond
What reforms to the U.S. immigration system do you support?

Lee: I support a legal and orderly immigration process ONLY for those that enter the country legally and follow our citizenship process. While in Congress, I supported a comprehensive package to stop drug cartels and human traffickers and support our Customs and Border Patrol Agents. I also support finishing the border wall and reinstating policies, like Remain in Mexico, and deporting illegal immigrants who enter the country unlawfully.
Kemp: Did not respond
What do you think are the biggest obstacles to getting things done in Congress? Are you willing to work with the other party?

Lee: The bottom line is that Republicans need a larger majority. When the margin in Congress is only a few members, it requires near unanimity to advance an agenda, and it creates a scenario where only a few members can hold the entire caucus hostage. Hopefully, Republicans can return with a larger majority and start to advance policies that can get our economy back on track. Where possible, I have and will continue to work across the aisle on issues that benefit our local community and our state.

Questions and answers
Kale declined to fill out LkldNow’s questionnaire. Click on any of the questions to view Franklin’s answers:
What are your top three priorities?

Franklin: 1. Secure the border by ensuring the House’s comprehensive border security bill, HR2, is signed into law.
2. Build a strong economy for all Americans. We do that by balancing the budget, lowering inflation by curbing runaway spending, making the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act permanent law, and restoring American energy independence by repealing the devastating Biden Executive Orders on energy.
3. Retool & strengthen our nation’s military in order to stand firm against China, Russia, Iran & North Korea.
Kale: Declined to answer.
Why are you running for office?

Franklin: I seek re-election because America is at a crossroads. Our staggering $35 TRILLION debt is approaching the point of no return. Our federal agencies are rife with unelected bureaucrats who weaponize their roles for personal & political gain. Our military is a shell of its once-revered and respected status. America’s position as world leader is crumbling. My experience as a career military officer, business & civic leader, and elected local & federal official uniquely qualify me to represent FL18.
Kale: Declined to answer.
What is your stance on access to abortion?

Franklin: I am pro-life. I think the Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was correct. Roe was bad law because the Constitution does not provide the right to abortion. I think legal decisions regarding abortion rest appropriately with the states, though whatever their decisions, my desire is for them to be safe and rare. I support exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. I also support IVF and don’t think federal taxpayer money should be used to fund abortions, even when they’re legal.
Kale: Declined to answer.
What reforms to the U.S. immigration system do you support?

Franklin: First, we must secure our borders. The 10 MILLION illegal aliens who entered during the Biden Admin (incl. hundreds of known terrorists), the inpouring of weapons & narcotics such as fentanyl, and the explosion in human trafficking are a grave threat to our national security. Signing HR2 into law will provide the tools to do this. With the border under control, we then address comprehensive immigration reform that makes it quicker and cheaper for the people we want to become citizens to do so.
Kale: Declined to answer.
What do you think are the biggest obstacles to getting things done in Congress? Are you willing to work with the other party?

Franklin: The outsized voices from the fringes of both parties make it hard for those serious about governing to do so. A balanced budget amendment would force Congress to make difficult choices with finite resources. I have an extensive track record of working with members across the aisle on issues that affect FL18, Florida and the nation. I’m an active member of the bipartisan veterans group, For Country Caucus, as well as the Bipartisan Working Group. We find points of agreement on needed legislation.
Kale: Declined to answer.
