Colt Creek State Park is hosting Tunes by the Lake on Sunday, May 17. Local musicians, Rich Mistretta, Shawn Rahn, Christine Collister, and JuJu & Jojo, will perform in the pavilion at Mac Lake from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine.
The concert is free with park admission ($4 per vehicle) and is organized by the Friends of Colt Creek State Park, who work to enhance the use and enjoyment of the park for Florida residents and visitors.
Hot dogs, water, and snacks will be available for a small donation. All proceeds benefit the park.

Colt Creek State Park is one of three state parks in Polk County. It is located roughly 45 minutes north of downtown Lakeland and contains over 5,000 acres of native habitat. A former cattle ranch, the land was purchased on May 31, 2006, by the Southwest Florida Water Management District, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and Polk County Natural Resources division. The Florida Park Service serves as the lead managing agency.
