UPDATE: A woman whose body was found in the median of U.S. 92 East near Reynolds Road has been identified as Kara Fay Hanvey, 22, of Sebring. Deputies responded after receiving a 911 call reporting an unresponsive woman around 6:40 a.m. today.

“There is some minor trauma to the victim’s  body and an apparent broken leg, but an autopsy tomorrow will determine her exact cause of death,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. “Her belongings were located nearby, along the westbound shoulder.”

Detectives would like to speak with people in the area between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. today  or people who know what Hanvey had been doing Saturday night or this morning. Those with information are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 863-298-6200.
