THRIFT: The Lighthouse Thrift Store has opened a new, larger space in a shopping plaza at Edgewood Drive and U.S. 98 after the Lakeland Community Development Agency bought its Florida Avenue downtown location.

MARIJUANA: Two Watson Clinic physicians have joined the other 33 Polk County doctors certified to prescribe medical marijuana. They’ll prescribe only to existing clinic patients, a spokeswoman said.
