Things rev up in September as fall activities get under way, so we’re not sure why most September songs are so melancholy. Maybe it’s the loss of carefree summer days. Anyway, My Morning Jacket tells us to “put away the old September blues.” And what better way to do that than catch some live music? A lot of area artists are playing this weekend, and there’s also the old-world folk of The Europa Band at the free Swantoberfest in Munn Park Saturday and the Christian rock of Classic Petra Revival at Victory Church on Friday.
