Joseph Clarence Caskey passed away peacefully, leaving behind a loving family and many cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Joseph was born July 2, 1958, in Dover, New Jersey and passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida. He was a longtime resident of Lakeland and proudly retired from the City of Lakeland. Joseph loved his family, doing puzzles and collecting any and all things Elvis.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Debra Caskey, his siblings, David Henderson (Wendy) and John Henderson (Penny).
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Joseph Caskey, Dawn Caskey, and Erica Caskey-Ramirez, as well as his stepchildren, Karen Marko, Mary Emery, Susan Emery, Karen Davis (Brad), and Jacqueline Black.
Joseph was a proud grandfather to 20 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 7 great-grandchildren, and uncle to several nieces and nephews each of whom brought their own special place in his heart and family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Caskey Henderson; his father, Robert Henderson; his brothers, Charles Henderson, Robert Henderson, Edward Searfoss Jr; his stepson, Albert Emery; and his great-granddaughter, Bradleigh Rai.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to live on through the generations of family he leaves behind.
