On April 26,2026 Joseph Haley Jr. (Jack) went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For 98 years, Jack lived a blessed life. Born on January 26th 1928 in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Joseph Haley Sr. and Mamie Jane Hawkins. He graduated from E.C. Glass High School and Virginia Commercial College in Lynchburg. Jack had a successful career in the mining business which took him from Virginia to North Carolina to Alabama and finally to Brandon, Florida. He retired from International Mineral Chemical after 40 years on service. Post retirement, he became an avid golfer.

Jack was married to the late Margaret Scruggs Haley for 49 years. He was married to Louise Delores Haley for the past 25 years. Jack was an active member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Brandon, Florida for 52 years. He served many years as Adult 4 Sunday School Director. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for greater than 50 years. 

He was preceded in death by his stepmother Oma T. Haley, sister Betty Jane Baker and son Robert Haley. His legacy is with his family: Four sons-Joseph III of Millbrook, Al., Don (Brenda) of Lakeland, Fl., and Alan (Anita) of Royse City, Texas. Jack is survived by 10 grandchildren: Jay (Monaca), Kaitlin, Brandon (Liz), Bryant (Loren), Tommy (Jennifer), Steven (Rebecca), Olivia (Jason), Kody (Sierra), Kristopher and Kayla: 10 great grandchildren: Jacob, Kenneth, Adelyn, Austin, Elle, Kate, Sukie, Annabeth, Emma and Amelia and three nieces. Step children: Judy Parker, Phillip Harrell, the late Betty Stone. 

Visitation and funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Brandon on May 27 at 1 and 2pm respectively followed by a graveside service at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
