As Lakeland Electric pushes to reconnect all customers with hurricane-caused disrupted by Friday evening, they’re asking anybody who still needs service to call 863-834-4248 or 863-834-9535.
With new equipment failures being discovered, the utility estimates there are “up to 500 meters with damaged circuit boards as a result of the storm or they occurred post-storm from generator back feed or fallen tree debris. With this type of damage, a small amount of meters are misreporting.”
Electric workers are now visiting individual homes that lack power, the company said.
