A smartphone video making the rounds on social media shows a Polk County sheriff’s deputy hitting a handcuffed suspect twice during an arrest in Lakeland. The punches were prompted by the suspect spitting in the face of one of the deputies, Sheriff Grady Judd told Fox 13 News. Also jailed was the man who filmed the scuffle; he had an outstanding warrant, deputies said. MORE COVERAGE: News Channel 8 | ABC Action News
