A rampage on Old Polk City Road around 6 a.m. today ended when a homeowner shot and killed a 45-year-old man who crashed through his glass door and threw a piece of glass at him, News Channel 8 reported. The intruder, who reportedly had come to Polk County from Orlando to buy drugs, had begun acting erratically and tried unsuccessfully to force his way onto a school bus, Sheriff Grady Judd said.
