Transportation planners are giving local residents opportunities to voice their opinions on the future of transit in Lakeland and Polk County via two surveys:

  • U.S. 98 Bus Rapid Transit Feasibility Study covers the corridor from downtown north to Lakeland Square Mall. Answer the survey questions. The Florida Department of Transportation is partnering with the city of Lakeland, Citrus Connection, and Polk TPO, in “reimagining public transportation on the U.S. 98 corridor.”
  • Polk County Premium Transit Consumer Preferences looks at transit amenities and potential inter-city routes. Answer the survey questions. The survey from the Citrus Connection and Polk TPO ends Wednesday.

  1. Please the city needs the bus to run almost all night. People work and some can’t afford a car and the insurance. Especially now with the pandemic. Help us please?
