Foxtail Coffee Co., the Winter Park-based chain of coffeeshops, has announced that it will open a shop in Lakeland “soon.”

According to an Instagram post from the proprietors of the new location (Foxtail has franchisers and also owns some of its shops), it will open at 322 Kathleen Road in Lakeland.

That address is near Bonnet Springs Park, across Kathleen Road from Lake Wire and next to the Prospect Lake Wire apartment complex.

It is in the new and currently vacant retail spaces at The Shops At Lake Wire.

Century Retail, a leasing agent that manages the property and others in Central Florida, currently lists four retail spaces available there, including the one Foxtail will occupy.

Foxtail Coffee will share the space with Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, the Orlando-based chain.

Kelly’s currently has six stand-alone shops and 37 more inside Foxtail Coffee shops.

Foxtail Coffee was founded in 2016 and now lists 90 locations, mostly across Florida. The company “approaches producing coffee as a craft and serving coffee as a celebration,” it says. Its “inviting and comfortable spaces feature rustic decor, cozy seating areas, and friendly staff.”

There is a job application form on its website where applicants can select the new Lakeland location.
