Daily Amtrak service on the Silver Star and Silver Meteor returns to Lakeland and Tampa on June 7 after being cut to three days a week last year as the pandemic reduced riders and revenue, WUSF News reports. Amtrak is receiving new funding via the American Rescue Plan passed by Congress this week.
