The city of Lakeland has taken to Facebook to counter rumors. Parks facilities will NOT be open for public daycare or camp while public schools are closed the next two weeks, according to a Facebook post. City staff does not have the capacity to handle unsupervised children, the post said. Any updates on city facilities will be posted to the city’s coronavirus info page.
