Each banking relationship with a small business owner is unique, and it requires a collaborative approach to better serve a client’s needs. With the help of a Treasury Management team, a small business can work towards their financial goals with more efficiency.

Why Treasury Management?

Treasury Management is needed to help optimize cash resources, protect against fraudulent risk, and ensure long-term operational stability. Bank of Central Florida’s Treasury Management team takes their services one step further, creating a personalized experience for clients. This experience includes direct support from a Treasury Officer and quick availability for help when issues arise.

“Treasury office calls help make sure that the client is comfortable in managing their product offerings,” explains Miranda Pedersen, Bank of Central Florida’s Treasury Management Team Leader. With almost 20 years of treasury management experience, she understands the importance of a one-on-one conversation with clients to encourage partnership based on a better understanding of their goals.

While treasury management is an essential function of a business’s day-to-day operations, Pedersen and her team focus on providing the right treasury products based on what clients need rather than what is available. “Treasury Management is a lesser-known banking department, but our team provides essential tools to help our clients scale and succeed,” Pedersen said.

Personal connection and customization

Bank of Central Florida’s Relationship Management team provides another layer of support, working hand-in-hand with Treasury Management to strengthen a business’s financial operations through client-focused service.

Pedersen and her team focus on personally getting to know each client and business in order to provide the right banking services to meet the business’s needs.

A recent interaction with a client underscores the value of this relationship building. Pedersen’s team learned that the client, a pediatric dentist, is passionate about working with children who have a tongue-tie. These children can feel uncomfortable at the dentist because they may have a hard time swallowing or feel tension during a cleaning. By focusing on creating a positive dental experience, the dentist hopes to make a difference in the health of the young patients and, in turn, the community.

Understanding the dentist’s motivation and goals empowered Pedersen and the team to provide the right customized financial solutions. The client can continue leaving a positive impact on their patients with full confidence that they have banking support they can depend on.
