Our top live music recommendation this weekend: The musicians on “A Lakeland Christmas, Vol. 1” play their selections from the album and other favorites on Friday and Saturday at Union Hall, hosted/presented by the Vanguard Room. Here are a couple of weekend highlights, followed by our updated music calendar: On Friday night, an American Cancer Society Concert/Fundraiser at Hillcrest Coffee features Lady Moonbeam, Jeremy Thrush of Laugh Tracks, and Space Panda. On Saturday, Rexartrefkin’s Rex Floyd is performing Pink Floyd classics at the Music Ranch.

The local live music menu this weekend serves up some tasty classic rock with a spicy melange of jazz, funk and soul on the side.
