One alleged swan-napper surrendered to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office early Wednesday morning while detectives continue to search for a second thief.

Alfredo Casanova turned himself in at the Polk County Jail at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday for his active arrest warrant for felony burglary and grand theft.

The two are accused of stealing two black swans, Sterling and Luna, along with their six eggs from the Highland Village Mobile Home Park on Feb. 12.

PCSO Agricultural Crimes detectives are still actively searching for the second suspect, Jordan Montoya.

A concerned citizen in Miami called the sheriff’s office, saying he had the swans, a mated pair, and their eggs, along with three other stolen swans.

PCSO Ag Unit detectives picked up Sterling and Luna on Monday morning and brought them and their eggs back to Highland Village’s pond.
