On January 8, 2021 beloved and revered husband, father, and grandfather Stephen Lee Hunter, 73, died at home after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kelli, son Matthew Hunter, and daughter Bethany Hunter Rasheed. Matthew and his wife, Kristen have one daughter, Morgan Madison Hunter. Bethany and her husband, Zeeshan have three children; Zain Stephen, Zarina Grace, and Zahmin Hunter Rasheed.
Steve spent over 50 years working in the citrus and citrus juice industry before retiring in 2018. This retirement lasted 1 week before he started his own business as a food safety consultant. He said it was the longest week of his life. Steve enjoyed judging barbecue contests and became a Certified Master Barbeque Judge in late 2020.
While battling cancer he completed his Masters of Business Administration Degree and graduated with Distinction less than 3 weeks before he passed away. The world is a better and brighter place for having had him in it.
A memorial will be held sometime in the summer or when the pandemic allows us to gather together.
