Patricia Cosby Blalock, age 83, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on September 16, 2022.

She was born on May 10, 1939 in Salvisa, Kentucky and was raised in Danville, Kentucky. She graduated from Danville High School where she was elected Cheerleading Captain and Homecoming Queen her senior year. She enrolled in Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. During her first week at WKU, she met her future husband, Ralph Blalock. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. After graduation, they moved to Lakeland to begin their careers. Pat served on many community boards; United Way, Learning Resource Center, Cerebral Palsy Clinic, Lakeland Day Nursery, Boys Club, PEO, the Dresden Antique Club, Citizens Police Academy and Florida Bar Grievance Committee.

She treasured the Junior League of Greater Lakeland and served as the President, Vice President, Treasurer and chaired nearly every committee. For 20 years, she was one of the top real estate agents in Polk County and enjoyed her career immensely. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and took great pride in her family, especially her four grandchildren. She loved her beach retreat in Boca Grande where her family created many fond memories. She was an active member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church.

She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Viola Cosby and her son-in- law, David Curtis. She is survived by her husband Ralph Blalock; daughter Jil Curtis-Bevis (Robert); son Paul Blalock (Randy) and grandchildren Grayson Curtis, Parker Blalock, Ellie Blalock and Rylan Bevis.

The family would like to thank Lakeland Regional Hospital, Good Shepherd Hospice, and Helping Hands for the personal care and service provided.

After a private family service, the family will greet friends at Heath Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 22nd at 5 to 7 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at Heath Funeral Chapel.
