Noreen Marianne Albury, age 69, passed away January 19, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Noreen was grounded in her faith and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1976.

She was born September 24, 1951 in Nassau, Bahamas to Nina and Ivan Thompson who preceded her in death. She spent her childhood in Nassau where she graduated from Queens College and then moved to Marsh Harbour, Abaco with her family in 1968. As soon as she arrived in Abaco she met Earl Albury and they were married on December 3, 1970, and together built a home and made a family enjoying over fifty years of marriage. Noreen was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She and Earl welcomed their only son, Jody, in 1976, and were surprised and blessed two years later with twin girls, Joni and Jana, in 1978. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grammy to all her grandchildren.

She had a vivacious open personality, quick to laugh and really appreciated a good joke. Noreen opened her home and heart to many over the years and made everyone around her laugh and feel loved. Noreen will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband Earl, three children and their spouses Jody and Ruth Albury, Joni and Johan Dam, and Jana and James Grossenbacher, two sisters-in-law Joyce Thompson and Levaughn Albury, one brother-in-law Sidney Albury, plus seven grandchildren Carter, Landen, Eli, Emma, Carli, Jase and Leah, and a host of other friends and relatives. All of these she touched and loved deeply.

Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
