In her last article for LkldNow, Kayla Borg reports on Mi Escuela Montessori’s growing enrollment and upcoming move to Bartow.
For the past year, Kayla’s reporting has helped bring to light the human impact behind barriers to quality of life in Polk County through Insight Polk, a community reporting initiative supported by GiveWell Community Foundation and United Way of Central Florida. Her thoughtful storytelling made an impact — so much so that another organization recruited her to serve as their in-house storyteller.
Kayla said, “Reporting for Insight Polk allowed me to connect with so many inspiring people and gain a deeper understanding of both the challenges and strengths within our community. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I’m excited to be stepping into a new professional chapter. I’ll always be thankful for my time at LkldNow, for Trinity Laurino, and for the entire team who supported me along the way.”
While we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited for her next chapter.
