Help us decide the topic of  our next Candid Conversation, our series of events that connects Lakeland residents with experts and policy makers.

This year we’re using our event series to explore the changes in and challenges to our local health care system. We started with a community forum in March with leaders from several local health care agencies. We are following up with a series of candid conversations that take us deeper into specific health issues.

Several worthy topics were brought up during our health care forum, and we want to know which is most interesting to you. Will you give us one minute of your time and let us know which you prefer:

With the school year ending, jump start summer reading by grabbing a reading log and checking out an airplane and aviation activities courtesy of Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Center for Excellence. Free.

The park’s celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month continues with a screening of the Disney film on the large family lawn. Free.

Memorial Day 2024 was commemorated Saturday with a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park hosted by the NAACP Lakeland Branch. Rick Orzachiwski, commander of American Legion District 7, served as master of ceremonies.
