Mother Anna Catherine Wright (November 19, 1946 – November 17, 2020) was born in Lakeland where she grew, attended Rochelle High School, and later joined the Job Corps.
Anna (Cat) was a loving and caring person with a smile on her face; many times, with laughter. Her journey consisted of leaving Lakeland, Florida and joining the Job Corp in Clinton, Iowa. Meeting others there, she decided to live in Davenport, Iowa for a season before moving back to Lakeland, Florida a few years later. Anna worked for a while at Florida Southern College; and also worked at Alpha Bright Children Learning Center over five years. Her journey continued as she accepted Christ as a young adult, working faithfully doing what God had planned for her to do. Her church affiliation began at Tenth Street Church of God and later she joined Sunshine of Faith Ministries where she continued in faith as an ordained Evangelist, Mother, Choir Director and prayer warrior.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Reverend Luther and Anna Catherine Wright Sr. Precious memories left for her son, Willie Donell Wright (Alicia) of Cornell, Iowa; Sister, Frances Wright Hicks of Lakeland, Florida; Brothers, Henry C. Wright of Brooksville, Florida and John L. Wright of Lakeland, Florida. A host of nephews, great nephews, nieces, great-great nieces; sister-in-law’s, Earlene Wright of Auburndale, Florida and Katherine E. Wright of Oakland, Florida and her extended family, god-children and friends.
