Marjorie Maniscalco, age 89, died on Monday, August 16, 2021 in her home in Lakeland, Florida.

Born in Plant City, FL on April 15, 1932, She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early on in life. She was a member of Gordon Street Assembly of God for 46 years. Then held her membership at Youmans Praise and Worship Center for 10 years and most recently joined our family at Together Church. She was dedicated to her Lord and served him in her church. She taught Sunday School, worked in Women’s Ministry and wherever there was a need. She loved people and often would fix meals to take to people in her community or drive them to church, appointments and wherever they needed to go.

Early in life she worked for Dover Shrimp Plant and Southlands Frozen Foods. Then she went on to find her calling in Early Childhood Development as an educator of young children. She retired and worked a few years after retirement for the Plant City Goodwill.

Marjorie is survived by her children; Larry Barron (Sybil), Linda Pointer (Billy), Teresa Mattice (Mitch), Timmie Barron (Karen), Connie Capitano (Spencer), Brenda Clement (Tim), Tina Manus (Tommy) and Tammy Maniscalco. Her grandchildren; Josie Barron Hartley, Misty Crumbley, Jeff Nester, jr. (JoAnn), Terry Absher (Rachel), Mike Nester (Lacy), Jamy Barron (Angela), Ashley Conklin (John), Chad Barron (Stephanie), Tj Manus, Jr. (Rachel), Lacee Ready (Donald), Keysten Maniscalco, Lindsey Bamberg (Raleigh), Ryan Clement (Hannah), Matthew Capitano, Josh Clement and Marissa Walker (Shane). 37 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-grandchildren and 3 brothers Charles, Jr. (Linda), Earl (Virgie) and Kenneth (Peggy) Green. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Green, Sr., her mother, Lennie Mae Green. Sisters, Myra Jean and Melbie Green, and Mildred Johnson, Brother, Gerald Green. Grandson, Joseph Absher, Great Granddaughter, Amber Floyd and Great Grandson, Levi Wall.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 20 at the Together Church of God (6725 N. Socrum Loop Road Lakeland, FL 33809). A funeral service will immediately follow. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
