Wiley Johnson, 89 of Lakeland passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Health. He was born September 18, 1934, to the late James Alf & Mamie Williams Johnson.

Wiley was President of McDonald Construction Corp and was employed for 68 Years. He enjoyed traveling, playing softball, bowling and working, the man loved to work. Wiley was a member of the Free Masons and believed in anonymous charitable giving. He always had a joke for anyone he met. The three words that summed up his life: True Southern Gentleman.

He is survived by his spouse, Marietta Johnson, Lakeland, FL; children, Peggy (Ken) Absher, Randy (Michelle) Johnson; grandchildren, Aaron and Mindi Absher, Chad and Kayla Absher, Hunter and Yoli Johnson, Madison and Jacob Moore, Utah Johnson; great grandchildren, Easton Absher, Aria Absher, Tori Absher, Aubrey Absher, Miller Moore, Wiley Moore, Oakley Moore, Lainey Moore, Rafi Mercado, Mari Mercado; siblings, Juanita Davis of Auburndale, FL, Mamie Dale Coley of Shellman, GA.

Wiley is predeceased by siblings, Ruth Johnson, sister; Sam Johnson, brother; Virgie Jenkins, sister; and Billy Johnson, brother.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801.
