Tracy Leah Rubenstein, 58, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those who meant the most to her.
Tracy was born on September 5, 1967, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At just 18 years old, she proudly served her country in the United States Army, dedicating four years of her life to serving others. Her strength, courage, and dedication were qualities she carried with her throughout her life.
Tracy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy was her family, and she was deeply committed to the people she loved. She will be remembered for her faith, her loyalty to her family and friends, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
In her quiet moments, Tracy enjoyed reading, watching television, and spending time with her family. Above all, she cherished the time spent with the people she loved and the simple moments that brought everyone together.
Tracy is survived by her loving husband, Terry Rubenstein; her children, Brandon Rubenstein and his spouse, Deborah Rubenstein; Kelsey Carroll and her spouse, Henry Carroll; and Jordan Rubenstein and his fiancée, Jessica Kiefer; and her grandchildren, Ella and Emily Rubenstein, and Kaelyn, Jace, and Bryson Carroll.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Lucero; her grandmother, Carmen Rivera Lucero; and her brother, Donie Lucero.
Tracy leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, strength, and devotion to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church, 901 N. Galloway Road, Lakeland, Florida. A funeral service celebrating Tracy’s life will follow at 10:00 a.m.
Following the service, Tracy will be laid to rest with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, where she will be given her final resting place in recognition of her honorable service to her country. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to New Home Baptist Church in Tracy’s name.
