Thomas E. Sharrett, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 75, in Lakeland, Florida. He was born August 9, 1947, in “Almost Heaven” Welch, West Virginia.

He moved to Lakeland as a child, with his family, and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1966. He married the love of his life, Janet, in 1970, served in the Army Reserves, and for most of his life, was a painting contractor. He later partnered with his sons in two businesses, Demoss Cabinetry and Sharrett Construction. He attended The River Church in Tampa.

Classic cars were his passion, especially his ’67 Dodge Charger. He loved football and was a true Buccaneers fan, win or lose; and with a second home in Blairsville, Georgia, he was a proud Bulldog.

Most of all, Tom loved his family, and his family loved him dearly. By all accounts, Tom lived the most successful life the world has ever seen. He will be remembered for his unparalleled generosity, his servant’s heart, and his bear paw hands. One day, Tom will be reunited with his wife, children, and grandchildren in heaven.

Tom is survived by his beautiful wife, Janet, his two sons, Tommy and Danny, his grandchildren Grason, Riley, Miles, Helena, Mae, Danny and Ryn, his brother, Sonny, and his sister, Francis. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hilda.

Condolences may be sent to the family at Heath Funeral Chapel.
