Mary Merle Jones, 94

Mary Merle Jones, 94, went home to be with the Lord November 11, 2023. Mrs. Jones was born in Beaufort, SC on June 29, 1929, to the late Leon & Annabelle McTeer. She loved attending church and reading her Bible, as well as completing crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Jones; brothers, Ted and Bobby; sisters, Eleanor, Arlene, Doris and Shirley. She is survived by her son, Jeff Jones; brothers, Hinson, Fred and Everett.

Visitation will be Thurs. from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, followed by a service on Fri. at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
