Martha Lee Weeks, known by friends and family as Marty, passed away on January 24, 2025, at her home in Lakeland, Florida. She was born in Muscatine, Iowa on May 29, 1943, to Glen Wendell Foster and Anne Tyler Foster. She and her husband, Jerry Lee Weeks, moved to Florida in 1973. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Florida in 1980 with a bachelor’s in education, and taught 1st grade for 10 years at Kathleen Elementary.

She was an avid reader, writer, and traveler, sharing many trips abroad with her husband. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and contributed yearly to the St. Joseph’s Indian School. As an enthusiast of the Victorian era, she wrote several novels centered around Victorian England and often incorporated her love for her own rose garden, which she tended to frequently.

Marty is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jerry Weeks, her sister, MaryAnn Kadel, her daughters, Tracy Weeks and Trista Mutchler, and her grandchildren, Claire Pangan, Tyler Stilwell, Delaney Mutchler, and Logan Mutchler.

She will always be remembered by her witty humor, and her commitment and love to her family.

Condolences may be sent to the family at Heath Funeral Chapel.
