Mr. Joseph Charles Murray Jr., 61, of Lakeland, FL formerly of Port Huron, MI was born on March 2, 1963 and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday October 10, 2024 after a courageous battle with terminal illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Mae McNaughton and Joseph Charles Murray Sr.
He is survived by his steadfast friend Debra Tetreau, his children Tara Welsh, Katrina (Jason Uresti) Parker, Amy (Matt Snyder) Welsh, Cristan (Julian) Rios, and Matthew (Lisa) Ackerman. His grandchildren Jaidin, Joey, Joslynn, Jalyssa, Jr., Anthony, Cassius, and the family dog, Draco, who was his favorite riding partner. Three brothers, Roy, Mark(Dayna), and Daniel(Jenny) Murray and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and cousins.
He will be remembered for having a giving heart, his love for riding and fixing motorized bicycles, and the passion he had for his many woodworking projects.
The family would like to thank Gilley’s Family Cremation for their compassionate care and help in providing final arrangement services.
