James Nicholas Nick from Lakeland, Florida passed away December 31, 2022.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Evangeline and Rev. Nicholas Nick on November 13,1956. He was 66 years old. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. He and his surviving wife, Roseanne Nick, shared 44 beautiful years of marriage. The two of them met in 1967 while attending elementary school in Salem, New Hampshire. Jim and Roseanne Nick were lifelong best friends and soulmates.
Jim was a hard working man. You could always count on him. He worked in the truss business for over 40 years. When he was not working, he liked spending his time getting together with family, taking care of his birds, eating good food, going to the shooting range, jet skiing and also having an occasional cigar with his friends.
Jim lived life to the fullest with strength and grace that is unsurpassed. He was the epitome of honesty and integrity. His family and friends are grateful to have had the gift of knowing him and being a part of his life. His presence was truly a blessing to us all. We thank Jim for the opportunity to experience the wonderful man that he was. His legacy will carry on forever in our hearts and in our minds.
Jim is survived by his loving siblings, Christine Maggio, Chris Nick, and George Nick. His three wonderful children, Talia Shepard, Nicole Reynolds and Nicholas Nick. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Ivy Ray, Taylor Ray, Kyle Shaw and Cora Reynolds; and was blessed to be survived by his great grandson, Aaron Miron.
Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
