Ian Jordan Anthony was born on March 24, 1993, in Raritan Township, NJ, to Daniel Anthony and Karen Kelly. He moved to Florida with his family at the age of four and lived in Lakeland, FL, from 2005 until his death. He attended Geneva Classical Academy, where he played football. He acted in plays at Shakespeare in the Park, and developed a love of history and intellectual pursuits, along with lifelong friendships. He was a National Merit Commended Student and dual-enrolled in Polk State College and homeschooled during high school. Ultimately, he chose to pursue video game design and started Skunkape Interactive with several of his friends. He was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

He went to his heavenly home on Monday, April 3, 2023, at the age of thirty, after battling debilitating health issues. Ian will be remembered as a loving son and brother, stalwart friend, gentle soul, thoughtful seeker of knowledge, and faithful believer in his Lord Jesus Christ. He is survived by his parents, his brothers Shea Anthony, and Nathan Anthony, half-brother Caleb Anthony, grandmother Bertha Anthony, uncle Michael Kelly, aunts Carol Gow, Cathy Carels, Kathy Kelly-Green, and Donna Kelly, and a host of cousins, great-cousins, close friends, and his church family.

Ian’s growth in grace was reminiscent of James 3:17-18:

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Condolences may be sent to the family at Heath Funeral Home.
