Hugh Turbeville, age 83, of Lakeland, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, after spending his last days with family and friends by his bedside.
He was born to Huey and Lorene Turbeville on September 20th, 1940, in Fairfield, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mikey Boyett Turbeville and 3 sons, Tony (Lisa), Jonathan (Michell), and David (Sarah); 5 grandchildren, Whitney (Tyler) Molony, Chase (Nicole), Cali (David), Lauren, and Santino; 2 great grandchildren, Nora and South.
His family was his pride and joy, which he bragged on most frequently.
Hugh was a very generous person who will be fondly remembered for his love of art and service to the community, along with his great desire to make Lakeland a better and more beautiful place to live.
His family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the outpouring of love during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held on January 6th at 4 p.m. at his Garden Club Building, 802 East Orange Street, Lakeland, Florida 33801.
