Glinnis Strickland Biggs (Twin Sister)
Glinnis Biggs went to be with our Heavenly Father, August 19, 2026. Glinnis was born in Winter Haven and lived there until she moved to Lakeland when she met and married her husband, Harold. She graduated from Winter Haven High School. She was baptized at First Christian Church, later attending Legacy Christian Church and Trinity Baptist Church. She worked for 25 years at George L. Simonds Co. in Winter Haven. Then went to help her husband successfully own & operate their business, Lakeland Truck Parts, Inc. Afterwards, Glinnis enjoyed working part-time as a Publix cashier for 4 years.
Glinnis is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harold G. Biggs, beloved daughter Cynthia Heiser (Mark), nephews Talmadge R. Strickland, Marty Strickland, Dean Podstupka.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Minnie; father, Preston Strickland; twin sister, Gladys; sisters, Dorothy and Mildred; brothers, Quinford, Talmadge and Fulton; stepdaughter, Karen Blenis and also nephew, Anthony (Tony).
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, FL.
Glinnis, we will always love you today, tomorrow & forever. You are truly the wind beneath my wings (daughter, Cynthia).
