George Arthur Stapleton, 74

Born in Jersey City, NJ to George and Carmela Durante Stapleton. Graduated from Begen County High School and then entered the Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Stapleton and Carmela Prudente, as well as his stepfather, Anthony Prudente, his son Guy Leonard Stapleton, his sisters Maureen Elwell and Barbara Dowd.

He is survived by children: Dawn Marie Palmer (Chad) and Curtis John Stapleton (Katherine), grandchildren: Joseph Clement (Kathryn) Keira Palmer, Logan Palmer, Myah Palmer, Guyston Stapleton, sisters: Diane Rotondi (Roger), Denise Mayers (Perry), Mariann Cavallaro (Vincent).

George loved sports; he was a huge fan of the Orioles Baseball team and the New York Giants football team. He loved working with his hands; he could fix anything. He would help anyone that needed a hand. He would go to your home to help fix a door or your car. He loved his family immensely; they were his greatest pride and joy.
