Guy was born on November 30, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from St John’s University and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War, mostly based in Alaska. He married the “girl next door” in 1959 and had two children.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucy Leo Bono, his son Mark (Beverly) of Oregon and his daughter, former State Senator Paula Dockery of Lakeland.
