Evelyn Adele Stock, 85

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Stock. A beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Ms. Stock passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 15, 2025. Ms. Stock was born in Woodstock, Illinois on January 9, 1940 to the late Leon and Alma Hager. Evelyn married the love of her life, Thomas Stock on February 20, 1960. They resided in Poplar Grove, Illinois where they built a home and raised three children. Later, Evelyn and Tom relocated to Auburndale, Fl to be closer to their family. They shared 58 wonderful years of marriage before Tom’s passing in 2018.

Ms. Stock is survived by her son, Paul Stock (Angie) and seven grandchildren, Ryan Berry, Renee Berry, Anthony Stock (Sarah), Jeremy Stock (Courtney), Shannon Laurel (Jeremy), Staci Johnson (Daniel) and Josh Pait (Michele), and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Deloris Hildebrant and sister-in-law Jayne Halma. Evelyn was a faithful member of United Methodist Church of Auburndale. She is preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Natalie, her son in law Tommy Pait, her son Gary Stock and his wife Eve Stock and her canine buddy, Max.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday January 25, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Gentry Morrison Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland, FL followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service.

Though she is no longer with us, her memory, her love and her spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
