
Eunice “Mema” Smith, 93, of Lakeland, FL went to be with her Lord and Savior June 11, 2026. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was an encourager, very independent, resilient and would do anything for anyone and at any moment.
She had many struggles and heartbreaks in her 93 years, but that never slowed her down and it never swayed her away from relying and looking to the Lord. She was involved with the school system for many years driving a school bus for thousands of kids along the way and loved every single one that she crossed paths with. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida for over 70 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilbur Smith; sons, Wilbur “Willie” Smith Jr, Jack Smith, Frank Smith, Danny Smith; daughter, Penny Fournier; parents, Sidney and Pauline Adams; brothers, Tom Adams, Frank Adams, Paul Adams, Lee Adams, Rick Adams and granddaughter Christy Brooks.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers Jack Adams (Pam) of North Carolina, Pete Adams (Suzie) of Georgia, sisters Harriet DiCesare and Ann Lain of Florida and Ethel Frampton of Virginia, grandchildren Adam Brooks (Kristen) of North Carolina, Paul Fournier of Florida, Lynsey Smith (Kenly) of Florida, Logan Smith (Jazzline) of Florida, Ethan Fournier of New York, great grandsons Malachi, Isaiah, Wyatt, Jack, Zion and daughter-in-law Candy Smith, Rob Fournier and numerous nieces and nephews.
