Eleanor H. McDermott, 76

Mrs. Eleanor H. McDermott, 76, of Lakeland, FL passed away at Good Shepherd Hospice House on Tuesday, May 1, 2024.

Born in Bryn Mawr, PA to Clarence and Alice Hall. She was one of five sisters. She was a homemaker for years and had a career in the medical field ultimately retiring from Summit Consulting.

She met her husband, William(Bill) when she was sixteen and they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on May 3, 2024.

She was a loving mother to two children; son Steve McDermott, and daughter Mary Beth Scott(Tom) and two granddaughters, Anna and Ellie Scott.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Alice Hall; sisters, Virginia Dee(Ginny), Sue Joceville, and Diane Young, and nephew, Anthony (Tony) Joceville; and niece, Lauren Joceville.

Survived by her husband, William (Bill); son, Steve and daughter, Mary Beth Scott (Tom), two grandaughters, sister Claire Hall, several nieces and nephews, James and Chris Dee, Zach Grainda, Kelly Conaghan, Alicia Young, and Gina Conlen.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, May 17th at 11 a.m. at St. John Nuemann Catholic Church, 501 E. Carter Rd, Lakeland, FL 33813.
