Eileen Maura McGowan, 71

Eileen Maura McGowan was the daughter of the late George and Mary Patricia McGowan. Born August 22, 1951, in Kings County Hospital, she grew up in Brooklyn before moving to New Jersey, and subsequently to Satellite Beach, Florida, where she was a long-time member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Eileen worked for Harris Corporation for 22 years before retiring in 2020. She moved to Lakeland Florida to be central to the family. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Eileen passed away on October 17, 2022.

Eileen was a beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt. She is survived by her five brothers: Thomas (Rosemarie) of Glen Rock, NJ; Daniel (Margaret) of Lakeland, FL; George (Janna) of Winter Park, FL; James (Paula) of Malabar, FL; John (Beth Nolan) of Fort Myers, FL. Eileen also leaves behind nine nephews, four nieces, 2 great nieces and a great nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lakeland. Mass will be held in the Parish Hall.
